Worship
  sab

The worship of God lies at the heart of First Presbyterian Church.
Our worship is traditional, liturgical, and Spirit-filled.  We are open, inclusive and progressive, approaching and loving God with all our mind as well as our heart
.

Children in Worship
Children are included in our worship and are provided with their
own special activities sheets for each Sunday. A children’s sermon is offered each week to help our youngest members grow in their own faith. The Children’s Choir often provides special music for the service.

The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir leads in worship each Sunday offering introits, anthems and choral responses. Easter and Christmas brings special musical offerings.

Sacraments
Presbyterians celebrate two sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion. Baptism marks our entrance into the family of God and the fellowship of the church. As it was in the time of the Apostles, both infant and adult baptism is offered. The Presbyterian Church celebrates an open communion. Visitors as well as members are invited and encouraged to partake of the communion elements.

Prayer
Worship is not limited to a single hour of the week. Our worship continues as we live constantly in the presence of God and in conversation with God. Click here if you have a prayer request, or would like our staff to remember you in prayer today.

Weddings at First Presbyterian
Because of the beauty of the sanctuary First Presbyterian receives many requests for weddings.  Members, of course, receive first priority in reserving the church. We do not rent the sanctuary for weddings.  Non-members are welcome, but all weddings will be performed by one of the pastors at First Presbyterian.  Click Here  for more information about our wedding policies.
